The Cottage Hearth October 1889, Vol XV No.10 p330.
The Cottage Hearth was published in Boston Massachusetts. It contained a mixture of fashion, puzzles, stories, and songs. Wilkie was one of four authors listed in a two page piece 'People in Whom You Are Interested'. The engraving was probably based on a Sarony photograph. The very short biography which gave the wrong year for his birth (1825 rather than 1824) was clearly written before his death on 23 September 1889.
