Although this image is not on a card with Sarony's name, there is no doubt it is another image from the studio of Napoleon Sarony taken during Wilkie's visit to New York in 1874. Wilkie thought Sarony's pictures of him were "true works of Art, sold at most moderate prices. The English photographs of me are not comparable to Sarony's" (To Edward Bok, 17 February 1883)
