NOTES

This odd scrap is on extremely thin paper glued to what seems to be a blank page from a book gilt on three edges. It is possible that it is an early facsimile copy made for business purposes rather than a manuscript.

It must be counted as a note to Collins's bank, Coutts, rather than to Naylor.
