NOTE
This note is exactly the sort that Wilkie sent to autograph hunters. See to Harry 4 July 1871. The implication of the booklist is that this scrap was collected during Wilkie's life and certainly before The Evil Genius was published in September 1886 and after the publication in three volumes of "I Say No!" in November 1884.
