Dear Listener,

Not another story about volatility on financial markets? Well, yes, sort of. But this time we will be asking what about people with savings or investments? Does all this uncertainty you’ve heard about – not least on Money Box – make you rush for the safety of a building society? Or take a punt to make more money? A report live from the Your Money Matters exhibition at London’s ExCel Centre. And studio experts discuss.

The Revenue issues new guidance on recovering overpayments of tax credits. Nearly £2 billion a year is overpaid and the new rules are designed to make the recovery of those overpayments fairer when the Revenue has made mistakes.

People who took out insurance against care home fees may be due large refunds. Perhaps that’s you.

Is it the end of the cheque as Tesco and Marks & Spencer join the long list of High Street retailers who will no longer accept them?

And maybe a word about the extended deadline for filing self-assessment tax returns. Is it really Sunday now? And perhaps a slice of Egg. Just perhaps.

Remember Money Box is available for your MP3 player or to listen online. Just log on to our website bbc.co.uk/moneybox.

Best wishes,

Paul Lewis
