Dear Listener

Is inflation back? It certainly rose in October. And the Governor of the Bank of England – whose job it is to control it – told us this week that inflation would rise next year before falling back in 2009. We talk to an economist about inflation fears and what that might mean for interest rates.

One thing that may push inflation up further is the rising cost of fuel. Oil and gas price expert Joe Malinowski tells us his predictions for the cost of heating our homes.

What would you do if you found details of hundreds of credit cards on the internet?

As the buyers circle round Northern Rock what will the sale mean for the hundreds of thousands of people with a mortgage there and the (perhaps still) million people who left their savings in the beleaguered bank.

The Post Office opens a Christmas Club – for next year. But why is it not paying any interest on the money people save?

And there may – or may not – be news on the money transfer company First Solution. If there is we’ll bring it you.
