Dear listener,

In Money Box this week:

Jubilation at the High Court as a judge rules that official information about the safety of company pensions was misleading and that the government was guilty of maladministration. Mr Justice Bean orders the secretary of state to reconsider paying compensation to 125,000 people whose pensions have been slashed. But will it actually mean more money for anyone?

We uncover an expensive anomaly that leaves thousands of carers more than £40 a week worse off after the minimum wage was raised. The extra money takes them over the limit for getting carer's allowance. Campaigners call for change.

The press goes mad as bank customers download more than a million letters to ask for their penalty charges back. But will the end result mean we all pay more for our banking?

And a strong warning to people who sit on the committee of a local social or sports club. They could be held personally liable for the club's debts. We explain how to avoid this problem.

That's Money Box – live on Saturday at noon, repeated Sunday at 9pm and any time (after midday) on the web.

Best wishes,

Paul Lewis
